The startup I work for will be closed down by the investor. It’s early 2020.
This blog exists because – like all of my coworkers – I too have to think about my future. My goal is to become an independent IT Consultant.
Freelancing and consulting idea was there for a long time without me acting on it. I simply enjoyed my work and the people I was surrounded by. Moving forward, I surely will enjoy being involved in multiple projects and thinking about customer requirements. Permanent workplace and Team are cornerstones, which surely will be missed.
My name is Viktor Tönköl and this is my blog sharing my collected experiences.
My role as Developer taught me how to think like a developer. My role as Team Leader taught me how to think like a manager. I will try to combine my roles to provide engaging content.
My collected post ideas include a wide variety of topics. I would like to work my way up to write about Team dynamics and Project success factors. For starters – to get writing experience – I will concentrate on topics which are much more contained like technical howtos and framework comparisons.
Currently, I live in Berlin, which allowed me to get away with poor German language skills that I would like to improve now. To this end, some or – if I turn out to be persistent enough 🙂 – all content will be provided in German as well.
